Duties

• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, court orders, and appellate briefs

• Conduct legal research to support active litigation

• Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and attending hearings

• Assist in preparation for and participation in bench and jury trials

• Help prepare for and support depositions

• Collaborate with team members on litigation strategy and case development

• Manage motion practice and handle in-person court appearances

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience

• Prior experience with motion practice and courtroom proceedings

• Familiarity with drafting pleadings and legal documentation

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently

• Strong legal judgment and case analysis abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Illinois
