Duties

  • Handle a substantial volume of cases in creditors' rights and real estate law
  • Conduct court appearances, manage discovery, and lead depositions
  • Resolve case issues through discovery practices, conflict resolution, and effective negotiation
  • Draft and review legal documents and motions to ensure thorough representation
  • Provide knowledgeable advice and guidance in areas like TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and bankruptcy law
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships to strengthen the firm’s reputation as a trusted advisor
  • Engage in appellate work and manage complex case files as required
  • Collaborate on team projects and mentor junior team members to foster a supportive work environment

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation experience preferred; newly licensed attorneys may also apply
  • Court Knowledge: Familiarity with Missouri’s legal procedures, including bankruptcy and federal district court practices
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for court appearances and client needs

Education

  • Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Bar Admission: Active Missouri State Bar membership required
  • Additional Licenses: Federal district and bankruptcy court licensure preferred; multi-state licensure a plus
