Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: An established law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, recently admitted attorney to gain valuable experience in immigration law, working closely with a senior attorney and an experienced legal team. The role involves managing a varied caseload, interacting with clients, and representing individuals in immigration-related proceedings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting clients through complex immigration challenges.

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts to clients and outline strategic solutions
• Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings at Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage an active caseload of immigration cases
• Conduct intake visits with detained clients at detention centers
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, including defense against removal and family-based petitions
• Review application packets, making adjustments as needed for accuracy and completeness
• Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates
• Meet with potential clients to assess cases and develop tailored strategies
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS testimonies
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis for clients, outlining potential case benefits
• Draft and submit legal briefs across a wide range of immigration cases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Immigration Law
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to case management
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Record of successfully progressing legal cases and maintaining a structured caseload
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law

Certifications:

• License to practice law in Texas or eligibility for admission

Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
• Proficiency in Case Management Software is an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
