Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation practice group. This position offers flexibility to work remotely or from one of the firm's Pennsylvania offices. The successful candidate will possess strong writing, research, and litigation skills, with a focus on workers' compensation law.

Location:

  • Harrisburg, PA

Duties:

  • Conduct file review and provide thorough legal analysis of workers' compensation claims.
  • Perform extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, and legal briefs.
  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials before the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Board.
  • Prepare for trial, including expert witness retention and evaluation.
  • Draft appeals and appellate briefs.
  • Meet annual billable hours requirement of 1950 hours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in workers' compensation law.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Pennsylvania (admission in other states is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong client service skills and the ability to respond promptly to client inquiries.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar required.
