Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking a qualified Family Law Attorney to provide expert legal representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent legal drafting skills, and a commitment to representing clients with professionalism and integrity. This is a full-time, in-person position requiring regular office hours.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law cases including divorce, custody, child support, and related legal matters.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on case strategies, rights, and options.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
• Handle complex discovery matters, including interrogatories and depositions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases for optimal legal strategies.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve the best possible outcome.

Requirements:

• An active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Experience in family law, particularly handling divorce, custody, and child support cases.
• Strong knowledge of legal research tools like Westlaw.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Florida Bar license.
