Duties:

• Handle medical malpractice litigation matters, including pre-trial discovery and mediations.
• Conduct depositions and manage litigation tasks independently.
• Draft legal documents, including research memos, briefs, and motions.
• Participate in trials and provide courtroom support.
• Analyze medical records and collaborate with experts to strengthen cases.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
• Work with colleagues and partners to strategize case development and resolutions.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation.
• Proven experience in conducting depositions.
• Proficiency in handling general litigation tasks, including motions, pre-trial discovery, and trials.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• General understanding of medical records and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of Michigan Court Rules and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Comfort with using new software for case management and document review.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Michigan Bar.
