Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in construction litigation to join its Orlando, FL office. The ideal candidate will assist senior attorneys in providing comprehensive legal counsel to clients, focusing on construction-related cases. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with trial preparation, as well as opportunities to represent clients in court and depositions.

Location:

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide counsel to clients with the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters and advise clients on potential solutions and negotiation strategies.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, senior attorneys, and paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
  • Keep client files organized and updated for easy access by legal team members.
  • Meet expected billing goals and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within construction litigation.
  • Active Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship experience or proven strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong research and legal analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to meet billing and productivity goals.
  • Competent in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload effectively.
