• Represent clients at motion hearings and offer strategic advice after each court appearance.
• Handle open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trial negotiations, plea agreements, and sentencing.
• Draft motions, conduct legal research, and prepare for court appearances.
• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and legal assistants in the post-conviction relief team.
• Offer legal analysis and advice to clients to assess potential case benefits and probable outcomes based on legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Experience in criminal defense or immigration law, with a focus on post-conviction relief or related legal matters.
• Familiarity with criminal case procedures at both state and local levels.
• Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to strategize and collaborate effectively with other attorneys.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
