Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in the Midwest is seeking an experienced Oil and Gas Attorney to join its practice. This role focuses on preparing title opinions for oil and gas development, primarily in North Dakota. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of relevant title examination experience, complemented by strong analytical and writing skills.

Duties:

• Prepare and review title opinions for oil and gas projects in North Dakota.
• Conduct thorough title examinations and research to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide strategic legal advice.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of title opinions and examinations.
• Stay updated on changes in oil and gas laws and regulations affecting North Dakota.
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in North Dakota oil and gas title examination.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent writing abilities to draft clear and concise legal documents.
• Proven interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to be admitted in North Dakota.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in at least one U.S. state; North Dakota admission preferred.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with oil and gas industry practices and regulations.
