Duties

  • Represent clients in civil litigation, including domestic relations (divorce, child custody, child support), business disputes, and real property matters.
  • Prepare and manage litigation strategies, including projections for case budgets, fees, and expenses, ensuring transparent communication with clients.
  • Conduct court appearances, trials, hearings, and client conferences with a focus on client advocacy.
  • Oversee legal matters with support from a paralegal team, ensuring thorough case management and strategic execution.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients through settlement, mediation, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, such as CPAs, social workers, and mental health experts, to enhance client representation.
  • Develop and grow the firm’s civil litigation practice through networking, marketing, and community involvement.
  • Ensure timely communication and proper case management, meeting key performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Ohio Bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Proven track record of business development, client relationship management, and networking.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage tasks and a legal team effectively.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with technology, including case management systems and remote collaboration tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for hearings and trials.

Education
