Litigation Associate Attorney

A reputable general practice law firm in Wheaton, IL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex litigation matters involving both individuals and entities at a local and national level. The position requires extensive interaction with clients, opposing counsel, third-party witnesses, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or labor and employment litigation.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings.
• Handle discovery-related tasks, including investigations and managing document production.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, including taking and defending.
• Attend court hearings and represent clients in litigation matters.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies for complex litigation.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party witnesses.
• Manage all aspects of cases from inception through resolution.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Illinois.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in complex commercial or labor and employment litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active admission to the Illinois Bar.
