A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is actively seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Immigration Attorney to join their team. The candidate will handle various family immigration cases, providing legal expertise and support to clients navigating the complex immigration process. This role requires in-person attendance at the office and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and advice to clients on matters related to family immigration, including visa applications, citizenship, and asylum.
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions and supporting documentation for family-based immigration cases.
  • Represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and in immigration courts.
  • Conduct client interviews and communicate with clients in Spanish and English to explain legal processes and provide updates.
  • Manage case preparation, filing deadlines, and case follow-up.
  • Stay informed of the latest changes and developments in immigration law and policy.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs aimed at the immigrant community.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Must possess at least 1 to 6 years of experience in family immigration law.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Profound understanding of USCIS procedures, forms, and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases concurrently with high attention to detail.
