Duties:

  • Actively utilize the firm's case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
  • Represent clients in court and handle all related legal proceedings.
  • Stay informed on consumer credit collections, state laws regarding consumer collections, and the FDCPA.
  • Provide proactive and superior client care through regular communication and updates.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and other legal events as required.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas, with multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
  • Member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Proven experience in creditor’s rights, consumer credit collections, and relevant state laws.
  • Familiarity with FDCPA and other applicable regulations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Multi-state licensure is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit collections and related state laws.
  • Proficiency with case management and reporting software.
