Creditor's Rights Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Irving, TX is seeking a skilled Creditor's Rights Attorney to manage and represent clients in creditor's rights cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer credit collections, relevant state laws, and the FDCPA. This role involves utilizing the firm's case management and reporting software, making court appearances, and possibly traveling. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to superior client care, and proactive communication, and exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Duties:

• Actively utilize the firm's case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
• Represent clients in court and handle all related legal proceedings.
• Stay informed on consumer credit collections, state laws regarding consumer collections, and the FDCPA.
• Provide proactive and superior client care through regular communication and updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
• Attend meetings, hearings, and other legal events as required.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas, with multi-state licensure strongly preferred.
• Member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• Proven experience in creditor’s rights, consumer credit collections, and relevant state laws.
• Familiarity with FDCPA and other applicable regulations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
• Multi-state licensure is highly preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of consumer credit collections and related state laws.
