Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Environmental Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of post-JD experience in environmental regulatory matters. Duties:

  • Assist companies in all aspects of state and federal regulatory processes, including:
    • Rule and guidance development
    • Permitting
    • Implementation of compliance programs
    • Self-evaluation of compliance
    • Enforcement
    • Litigation
  • Provide counsel to clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Contribute to a collaborative work environment by actively participating in team discussions and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of post-JD experience in environmental regulatory matters.
  • Strong legal research and legal writing skills.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor degree.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in Colorado or willing to complete the process to waive into the Colorado Bar.
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in Clean Air Act matters is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar or willingness to complete the process to waive into the Colorado Bar.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
