Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role offers an opportunity to handle a wide range of complex personal injury cases—including automobile, trucking, and premises liability—from pre-litigation through trial. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team focused on client advocacy and achieving significant outcomes for injury victims.

Duties

  • Litigate personal injury cases involving auto accidents, premises liability, and trucking collisions

  • Conduct client interviews and assist in medical and factual case development

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions in both state and federal courts

  • Conduct legal research and present oral arguments on motions

  • Handle party, witness, and expert depositions

  • Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation

  • Collaborate with team members and partners on case strategy and litigation plans

  • Negotiate and draft settlement agreements

  • Manage pre-litigation and litigation processes with a focus on maximizing client recovery

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation

  • Proven track record handling bodily injury claims and litigation matters

  • Commitment to client-centered service and advocacy

  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong case evaluation and negotiation skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar

Skills
