Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team in Walnut Creek, CA. The ideal candidate will have excellent litigation, communication, research, and writing skills, with experience in expert discovery and trials. This role involves all facets of case management, from legal research to court proceedings.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Review and produce documents
• Conduct depositions
• Manage all facets of case management
• Participate in dispute resolution processes
• Attend and represent clients in court proceedings
• Handle expert discovery
• Prepare for and participate in trials
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Stay current with changes in laws and legal precedents

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in California
• Excellent litigation, communication, research, and writing skills
• Experience with expert discovery and trials
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in legal research and case management
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in California
