A law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with exemplary academic credentials and significant law firm experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Hatch Waxman litigation experience, exceptional writing and communication skills, and a preference for those with technical degrees in chemistry, biology, or related fields. This role involves drafting legal briefs, managing all aspects of fact and expert discovery, and contributing to litigation strategies.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and revise legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Manage and participate in all phases of fact and expert discovery.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies, focusing on Hatch Waxman cases.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide detailed analysis to support case preparation.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build and present cases.
  • Maintain organized case files, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic legal advice to clients regarding case progress and developments.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in Hatch Waxman litigation.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents and managing discovery processes.
  • High level of academic achievement and substantial law firm experience.
  • Preference for candidates with technical degrees in chemistry, biology, or related fields.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar (or ability to obtain licensure).

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing complex litigation and developing case strategies.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
