A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX. This hybrid position offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic legal practice while managing a variety of tasks, including legal research, document preparation, and client relations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for law and a desire to work closely with senior associates and other team members to deliver excellent legal services.

Duties

  • Draft contracts, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation.
  • Prepare for and attend legal proceedings, providing legal support during hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior associates to offer strategic legal counsel to clients.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files and records.
  • Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and offer legal advice.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in legal practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligible to obtain membership in Texas).

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of legal research methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to supervise and guide junior staff effectively.
