Overview: A leading law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its oil and gas practice, focusing on preparing title opinions for oil and gas development in North Dakota. This role requires a minimum of three years of North Dakota oil and gas title examination experience, coupled with exceptional writing skills.

Duties:

• Prepare comprehensive title opinions for oil and gas development projects in North Dakota.
• Conduct thorough title examinations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide expert legal counsel in oil and gas matters.
• Draft and review legal documents related to oil and gas transactions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting the oil and gas sector.
• Participate in client meetings and negotiations, providing strategic legal advice.
• Maintain accurate records of title examinations and legal opinions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in North Dakota oil and gas title examination.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with the capability to obtain admission in North Dakota promptly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Eligibility for admission to practice in North Dakota.
