A leading law firm is seeking a dedicated USCIS Immigration Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. This role involves managing a caseload of immigration matters, including removal proceedings and family-based immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have a background in immigration law and experience with a variety of USCIS applications. Duties

  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients for court or USCIS testimony.
  • Represent non-detained and detained clients in removal proceedings, both in Immigration Court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Conduct intakes and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare and submit various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense.
  • Review and adjust immigration application packets as needed.
  • Provide legal analysis and guidance on case benefits for clients.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to determine case strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and advance legal cases effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications and Skills

  • Admission to practice law in the state of California.
  • Proficiency with case management software is preferred.
