This remote position offers the opportunity to handle various tasks related to construction defense litigation, including intake, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation. Duties:

  • Manage all phases of litigation, from intake to resolution, for construction defense cases.
  • Handle discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
  • Prepare legal motions, pleadings, and other essential documents.
  • Represent clients during mediation and trial proceedings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding construction-related legal matters.
  • Maintain case files and ensure all legal documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on defense in construction-related matters.
  • Strong experience in drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings, and handling depositions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients and opposing counsel.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida (Florida Bar membership required).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in defense litigation is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
