This role involves handling complex litigation cases with a focus on asbestos-related matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, on-site environment, supporting clients through high-stakes legal battles. Duties:

  • Investigate cases, gather evidence, and manage discovery processes
  • Draft and argue legal motions and prepare cases for trial
  • Take and defend depositions, ensuring thorough preparation and strategic execution
  • Manage all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial discovery to post-trial motions
  • Serve as second or third chair at trials with the opportunity to first-chair after gaining experience
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding throughout the litigation process
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and teams, contributing to case strategies and outcomes
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility for reciprocity
  • Strong academic background with a demonstrated commitment to the legal profession
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle complex litigation tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel frequently as part of case management and client representation
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong client-relations abilities, with a compassionate approach to working with clients under stress

Education:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar Admission in Florida or eligibility for reciprocity
