Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law on complex litigation matters.
• Coordinate and manage electronically stored information (ESI) relevant to ongoing cases.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Assist in preparing legal briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and strategy recommendations to clients under supervision.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
• Manage case files, including documenting and organizing evidence.
• Attend court proceedings and client meetings as necessary.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in litigation, focusing on business and commercial litigation, government investigations, municipal law, public sector labor, or real estate litigation preferred.
• Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle specific litigation tasks such as researching and drafting legal documents, ESI coordination, and depositions.
• NY Bar license is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York State Bar Admission.
