Duties

  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state alcohol beverage regulations.
  • Represent clients in alcohol beverage licensing and regulatory matters.
  • Provide legal guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to the distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • Conduct regulatory risk assessments and provide practical advice based on risk analysis.
  • Independently manage client matters, including complex cases, from inception to completion.
  • Stay current on changes in alcohol beverage laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to meet client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive legal support.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law.
  • Relevant regulatory experience, such as FDA/food law, is also encouraged.
  • Proven experience in commercial and corporate matters and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Admitted to practice law in Delaware.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high workload with competing demands.
  • Proven track record of independently managing legal matters.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and display good judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Delaware State Bar.
