A law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage negligence cases from start to finish, including all litigation and trial work with a focus on plaintiff representation.

 

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury negligence cases from initial intake through resolution.
  • Conduct client interviews and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to build strong cases.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress and strategy.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to maximize client recovery.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Connecticut and in good standing with the state bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Proven ability to handle a caseload independently from start to finish.
  • Strong litigation skills, including trial experience.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Education:
