A full-service creditor's rights law firm with a strong national bankruptcy practice is seeking a motivated and team-oriented Associate Bankruptcy Attorney. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an attorney with minimal experience in bankruptcy law, as the firm is open to training the right candidate. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court, supporting various aspects of bankruptcy matters.
Mount Laurel, NJ
Review and resolve routine bankruptcy matters.
Attend hearings (virtual or in-person, depending on location).
Respond to general bankruptcy inquiries.
Monitor electronic filings (ECFs) in bankruptcy cases.
Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and/or the Court.
License to practice law in New Jersey is required.
Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general creditor rights laws (preferred but not required).
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle routine matters independently.
Attention to detail and professionalism.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
Admission to the Bankruptcy Courts in New Jersey (preferred but not required).
Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic filing systems (ECFs).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professionalism and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
