Family Law Attorney

A law firm in San Jose, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree, be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar, and possess expertise in California Family Law statutes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct consultations with potential clients and secure their representation.
• Provide expert legal advice on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and related issues.
• Represent clients as 1st chair attorney in court proceedings, including mediations, depositions, and hearings.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Advocate for clients' interests and rights in negotiations and litigation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 0-3 years of experience practicing family law, preferably in California.
• Demonstrated compassion and a strong desire to assist clients during challenging times.
• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to support junior staff and legal team members.
• Consistent track record of exceeding performance goals and client expectations.
