The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling insurance bad faith and coverage disputes, with a passion for advocating on behalf of clients wronged by insurers. Duties:

• Manage and oversee insurance bad faith and coverage dispute cases from inception to final resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and preparing for trial.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft motions, including dispositive motions and motions to compel.
• Take and defend depositions, particularly of key witnesses and insurance representatives.
• Lead client advocacy efforts in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Review insurance policies and coverage issues to develop strategic approaches for case resolution.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• 5-10 years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance bad faith, coverage disputes, or general insurance litigation.
• Strong expertise in drafting motions and conducting legal research.
• Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Prior experience at a defense firm specializing in insurance litigation is a plus.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with a legal team.
• Willingness to travel as required for depositions, court appearances, and case-related work.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in California.
