A law firm seeks a Trust and Estate Associate Attorney to join its experienced team in representing individual clients. This hybrid position requires at least three days a week in the office to meet with clients in a flexible and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate administration, with excellent client relations, research, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Provide legal services in estate planning, including creating wills, powers of attorney, and medical directives.
  • Establish and administer trusts for clients, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Guide clients through the estate administration process.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Draft legal documents and provide written and verbal communication on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in trust and estate law.
  • Strong client management skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relevant state and federal estate laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar, in good standing.
