This role involves drafting and editing legal documents, managing case dockets, and representing clients in federal court hearings. Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit correspondence and legal documents related to bankruptcy practice.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel.
  • Attend and represent clients at hearings in federal courts throughout the lower peninsula of Michigan.
  • Manage and organize the hearing docket, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain and update client files, documents, and records.
  • Provide representation in bankruptcy and creditor-related matters and litigation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid Michigan Bar license required; admittance to or ability to gain admittance to the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
  • Previous bankruptcy or creditor representation and/or litigation experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of dependability, professionalism, and effective client interaction.
