Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate or Counsel to join its growing Class Action group. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of substantive experience in complex litigation, with a particular focus on class action matters in labor and employment law. The role will involve managing and defending class action lawsuits, including areas such as employment discrimination, workplace privacy, wage and hour claims, and consumer fraud. Duties:

  • Manage and defend class action lawsuits, particularly in employment law, workplace privacy, wage and hour claims, and consumer protection.
  • Provide strategic counsel and litigation advice to clients in complex class action cases.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal briefs, motions, and other documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and hearings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals within the firm on various matters.
  • Stay updated on developments in class action law and related fields.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in complex litigation with a focus on class action defense.
  • Proven expertise in employment discrimination, workplace privacy, wage and hour claims, and other labor-related class action matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large-scale litigation independently.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
