Duties

• Represent clients in residential and commercial real estate closings and litigation.

• Coordinate with city boards and agencies to secure permits and manage zoning compliance.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for real estate transactions, and facilitate title transfers.
• Supervise support staff, including paralegals and clerks.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies as needed.
• Provide counsel on business and legal transactions involving real estate.
• Negotiate settlements for real estate disputes and ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Manage administrative and legal functions associated with real estate law practice.
• Handle landlord-tenant disputes with potential for corresponding litigation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, specifically in residential or commercial landlord-tenant matters.
• Strong research, negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
• Current license to practice law in California.
• Knowledge of property management, land use, title insurance, business law, and both residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
