Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney to join its team. This fully remote position is open to attorneys based anywhere within the state of Florida. In this role, the attorney will independently manage a diverse caseload while partnering closely with a senior-level attorney to develop litigation strategies and deliver exceptional legal service.

Duties

  • Oversee a varied caseload focused on Workers' Compensation defense matters.

  • Draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and case summaries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Workers' Compensation defense matters.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and document drafting abilities.
  • Proven skill in reviewing and interpreting medical records in the context of legal cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload while working remotely with minimal supervision.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active and in-good-standing membership with the Florida Bar.
