Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of general commercial litigation experience. The successful candidate will have excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, and be capable of managing complex litigation matters. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in the New York State Bar are required. Duties:

• Handle all phases of commercial litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and case preparation.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare and argue motions and handle pre-trial and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop case strategies and manage case progression.
• Provide regular updates and legal advice to clients on case status and developments.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of general commercial litigation experience.
• Proven track record in handling complex litigation cases.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
