Duties

  • Conduct legal analysis of immigration files obtained via FOIA requests to identify potential relief and case options.
  • Perform comprehensive screenings of client documents and histories to assess eligibility for immigration benefits or relief.
  • Manage high-volume caseloads, ensuring timely and accurate review of multiple case files.
  • Provide detailed recommendations on next steps, clarifying complex immigration issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff for precise and efficient case management.
  • Stay current on immigration laws and regulations relevant to the practice areas handled.
  • Document findings and recommendations in a clear and organized manner for internal and client communications.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex legal documents and immigration histories.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to move legal cases forward and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Familiarity with key areas of immigration law, including family-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, and more.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in a U.S. State Bar.
