Duties:

• Handle pre-trial proceedings, including discovery, motion practice, court conferences, and depositions, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including bills of particulars, pleadings, discovery motions, and appellate briefs, with a focus on clarity and precision.
• Manage the intake of contract requests and conduct client interviews to gather relevant information for contract-related matters.
• Perform comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
• Manage and settle disputes, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing consistent communication and updates on case progress.
• Keep partners apprised of material developments and matters on a timely basis, ensuring all team members are aligned.
• Exercise sound business and legal judgment in all aspects of case management.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Proven strong legal writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and the capacity to take full ownership of cases, managing them from inception to resolution.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
