Job Overview
A well-established law firm based in Indianapolis is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) associate attorney to handle a variety of immigration and criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate will be an experienced attorney with a passion for advocating for clients and providing effective legal representation. Duties

  • Represent clients in immigration and criminal defense cases, including removal defense, USCIS applications, and criminal matters.
  • Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring timely and accurate filing of documents.
  • Provide legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal advice in both Spanish and English.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and client meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.

Requirements

  • Active Bar license in good standing with the ability to practice law.
  • Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong experience in immigration and/or criminal defense law.
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to handle a variety of cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • An IN Bar license is required.
