Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Public Sector and Environmental Law practice groups. This role involves representing municipalities, governmental bodies, businesses, and community groups in a variety of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, land use, litigation, and environmental law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent counties, townships, boroughs, municipal authorities, school districts, and other governmental entities.
  • Provide legal counsel on public sector matters, including governance, regulatory compliance, and policy development.
  • Handle environmental law cases for local governments, non-profits, property owners, businesses, and grassroots organizations.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, ordinances, and legal opinions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex municipal and environmental law issues.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and litigation proceedings.
  • Negotiate agreements and settlements on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
