Associate Attorney Business Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join a dynamic and growing team focused on civil, business, and employment defense litigation. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Tarzana, CA, offering a supportive and collaborative environment with ample opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in civil litigation, specifically in business law or employment defense, and be prepared to handle all aspects of litigation from pleadings to trial.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Participate in civil and business litigation matters, including court appearances, depositions, and negotiations.
• Handle trials, mediations, and client communications as needed.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case development.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and approaches.
• Ensure case files are organized, up-to-date, and compliant with legal standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation, ideally with a focus on business law or employment defense.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends if necessary to meet deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar license.
