Employment Law Partner/Unit Lead

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an Employment Law Partner/Unit Lead with extensive experience in employment law defense. This leadership role will involve overseeing complex cases, developing new business, and contributing to firm management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong client relationship skills, a commitment to professional growth, and the ability to guide and mentor junior attorneys. The role requires a strategic approach to both case management and business development, contributing to the firm's long-term success.

Duties:

• Handle and manage complex employment law cases, offering expert legal advice and representation in court.
• Stay current on employment law, including legislative changes and industry best practices.
• Play a significant role in attracting new clients and maintaining high client satisfaction, leading efforts in business development.
• Participate in networking, industry events, and marketing activities to expand the firm's reputation and client base.
• Contribute to the strategic, financial, and organizational planning of the firm.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and associates, promoting a culture of growth and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas, fostering strong internal relationships.
• Ensure the firm adheres to ethical standards and complies with all relevant legal regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of client service and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in employment law, with a focus on defense cases.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including management experience and contributions to firm planning.
• Proven track record in business development, including client acquisition and retention.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals.
• Strong understanding of employment law and demonstrated success in complex case handling.
• Portable book of business is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
