Litigation Associate Attorney

A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its team in Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and be responsible for all aspects of employment litigation defense. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in every phase of litigation, from case inception to resolution, providing dynamic and challenging legal work in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Participate in all aspects of employment litigation defense.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery-related documents.
• Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings and before administrative agencies.
• Engage in legal research and writing to support case strategies.
• Take depositions, negotiate settlements, and participate in mediations.
• Contribute to case strategy from inception to completion.
• Analyze discovery responses and ensure timely case progression.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective defense strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for assigned cases.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in legal software and tools.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
