A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Corporate M&A/Private Equity Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience in corporate law and deal management. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding credentials and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and prepare related reports.
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including acquisition agreements, shareholder agreements, and other corporate governance documents.
  • Assist in structuring transactions and advising clients on legal and business implications.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party advisors throughout the transaction process.
  • Provide legal advice and support on general corporate matters as needed.
  • Manage and mentor junior associates and legal staff as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Illinois (or eligibility for admission via reciprocity).
  • 4-7 years of experience in corporate law with a focus on M&A and private equity transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and deal management.
  • Outstanding academic credentials and professional achievements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in handling complex corporate transactions from inception to closing.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Certifications:
