Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney with experience in civil litigation to join its team in Seattle, WA. Duties:

  • Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, including wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, and professional malpractice.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, developing creative strategies for client defense.
  • Participate in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
  • Handle multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to build cohesive case strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State by the start of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative legal strategies.
  • Experience in trial preparation and, ideally, trial experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active Washington State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
