Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Diego is seeking a skilled Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a technology background in electrical engineering or computer science, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.

Duties:

• Prepare and trial patent matters, including Markman hearings.
• Perform technical analysis of products and patents.
• Manage discovery preparation and management.
• Work with experts and assist in conducting and defending depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to patent litigation.

Requirements:

• JD or LLM degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to or eligible for admission in California.
• 3+ years of patent litigation experience in district court and/or before the International Trade Commission.
• Technology background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
• Professionalism in engaging with clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to or eligibility for admission to the State Bar of California.
