Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-7 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, be a self-starter, and be adept at multi-tasking. Experience in construction defect, general liability, and/or product liability is preferred. The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hybrid work environment is essential.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Work with experts to develop case theories and prepare reports.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Handle case workup and manage all aspects of case preparation.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders throughout case progression.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of litigation experience; defense experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience managing cases from start to finish.
• Experience in construction defect, general liability, and/or product liability preferred.
• Must be admitted to practice in Florida.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
• Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
