Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation team in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of complex litigation matters and providing high-quality legal representation to clients. Duties:

• Manage a caseload of complex litigation cases from initial stages to trial or settlement.
• Conduct thorough legal research and offer sound legal guidance to clients.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and represent clients in court appearances.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional legal research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.
• Proven success in defending clients in complex litigation cases.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legal precedents, regulations, and statutes.
• Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar.
