Duties:

  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with changing laws and statutes.
  • Argue motions and offer expert legal advice during hearings and trials.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple legal matters independently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws.
  • Travel as needed for case-related duties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation with a proven track record in trial law.
  • An active member in good standing with the state bar association.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on persuasive advocacy.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in the state of Texas (or eligibility to become licensed in Texas).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of litigation procedures, trial preparation, and case management.
  • Advanced legal research, drafting, and persuasive writing skills.
