Securities Attorney (Professional Track)

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Securities Attorney for a professional track position within its Investment Funds Group. This role requires a skilled attorney with at least 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex transactions involving public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors. The successful candidate will need strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position is open to candidates across multiple U.S. office locations.

Location:

Duties:

• Manage and oversee structured securities offerings in commercial real estate transactions.
• Advise clients on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and complex financings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to transactions.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide solutions to complex issues.
• Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in large-scale commercial real estate projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop strategies and ensure legal compliance.
• Provide high-quality legal services while meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
• Strong background in commercial real estate law, particularly in real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal transactions and provide strategic advice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
