Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Energy Transactions Associate Attorney with 5-6 years of experience in Energy and Infrastructure transactions to join their New York City office. The role involves handling financing and private mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a focus on project and energy financing. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, extensive knowledge of tax equity or IRA credits, and be adept at managing complex deals.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on energy and infrastructure transactions, including financing and M&A activities.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and transaction documents.
  • Conduct due diligence and review transaction-related documents.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other legal professionals to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on complex energy projects.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting energy and infrastructure sectors.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in Energy and Infrastructure transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with financing and/or private mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Preferred experience in project and energy financing or energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions.
  • Experience with tax equity and/or IRA credits is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Expertise in energy and infrastructure law.
  • Proficient in negotiating and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
