The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal expertise and guidance to clients navigating complex privacy and data security matters in the healthcare sector.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on state and federal privacy laws, regulatory compliance, and healthcare-related privacy matters.
• Advise clients on data protection strategies, management, and security protocols, including data flow analysis and creating data maps.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, particularly those related to data privacy and security.
• Manage incident response related to data breaches and privacy violations.
• Collaborate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders, offering clear and actionable advice.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving data privacy and security regulations, particularly in healthcare.

Requirements:

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in health law, focusing on data privacy, security, and technology.
• Proven ability to handle privacy compliance, data management, and security issues.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, with an emphasis on data privacy provisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its specific regulatory environment is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in AZ State.
